Educational information only, not a diagnosis. Know when to get help.
This checklist is for education only. It doesn't diagnose anything and it can't rule anything out. It sorts your answers into the same three groups used on our when to see a doctor page, which is based on NHS, Mayo Clinic, NICE and AAFP guidance. Nothing you tick leaves your device.
If you feel very unwell, call your local emergency number.
The interactive checklist needs JavaScript. Use the written version on when to see a doctor.

One or more of your answers is a warning sign that should be assessed the same day. Contact your doctor's urgent line, an urgent care center, or emergency services if you feel very unwell. In the UK, NHS 111 can advise.
Because you ticked:
Book an appointment soon
This isn't an emergency, but your answers match situations where guidelines recommend a proper check, usually with your primary care clinician or a urologist, within days to a couple of weeks. Read what tests to expect.
Because you ticked:
Likely to settle on its own, but mention it to a clinician
Nothing you ticked is a warning sign. That fits the most common pattern: a one-off episode or bleeding after a recent procedure, which usually resolves without treatment. NHS and Mayo Clinic still recommend getting it checked, so mention it at a routine appointment, and come back here if anything changes.

How this checklist works
Every option is tagged with one of three levels taken from published guidance. Urgent symptoms come from NHS advice on prostatitis and general urgent-care signs [NHS]. "Book soon" factors come from Mayo Clinic, NICE, RACGP and healthdirect [Mayo] [NICE] [RACGP] [healthdirect]. The highest level you tick sets the result. The tool stores nothing and sends nothing.
